The Bee In The City Auction
The Bees took centre stage at a glittering auction in October 2018 to leave a lasting legacy for various local charitable causes via The Lord Mayor’s We Love MCR Charity. The total amount raised on the night was £1128250!
77 of the Bee in the City sculptures went under the hammer in front of guests, as well as online and telephone bidders. My bee ("Manchester, the place to Bee", lot no.47) was sold for £27,000. This was the proudest moment in my career so far, and a night I will certainly never forget!
